The paste kettle is designed for preparing paste / starch / binder solution for making granules for tableting formulation and granulation . It has a universal application resulting in uniform melting.

The kettle has a small cylindrical top shell with a spout for pouring out binder mass. It is provided with Anchor type beater for paste mixing with dual speed option.

Starch Paste Preparation Kettle or say jacketed kettle is designed to cook and boil various foods which enjoy great popularity in many industries such as restaurants and industrial kitchens. Jacketed Kettle Operation Caution

1. The use of vapor pressure, not a long time exceeds the rated working pressure.
2. During the use of steamer boiler, you should always pay attention to the change of steam pressure, with the inlet valve adjust
3. For tilting type and mixing type jacketed kettle, before each time to use, you’d better add the oil to all the rotating parts. We suggest you use cooked vegetable oil for the surface component of mixing type jacketed kettle; other places are used 30#–40# machine oil.

 

How to Maintain the Jacketed Kettle?

1. When the inlet pipe and outlet pipe joint leakage, if you choose to tighten the nut can’t solve the problem, please add or replace the filler
2. Check the pressure gauge and safety valve regularly, if there is a fault, please replace and repair timely.
3. Anti-rust oil spalling, you should be timely brushing
4. When the outer pot after years of corrosion thinning to below 2mm, please stop using.

Section I          GENERAL INTRODUCTION
Jacketed kettle also called as jacketed evaporative cooker or thickening pan. Adopt stainless steel as its main construction material. Using indirect heating make it easy to clean. The double wall structure which make up a jacket for heating medium such as steam and thermal oil result to a faster heating effect compared with normal cooking pans. Use a hand wheel to discharge the cooked product so there is no material accumulation at drainage opening. When equipped with anchor or scraper type agitator, jacketed kettle can be also used to the production of various of liquids which are sticky or thick.

Characteristics:
1. Efficient Heating
Steam heating jacketed kettle takes a certain pressure of steam as heat source. It has characteristics such as big heating area, uniform heating, high thermal efficiency, short boiling time, easy control of the heating temperature etc.
2. Safety and Convenience
Steam heating jacketed kettle adopts stainless steel 304 as production material, which is resistant to heat and acid. The machine is equipped with pressure gauge, safety valve or electrical control box. Not only has good-appearance, but also easy to install and operate. It is safe and convenient.

 

STEAM-JACKETED KETTLE

Steam-Jacketed Kettle are very large, deep kettles mounted on a pedestal or legs to stand on the floor.

 

The bottom two-thirds of the kettle is covered by a metal jacket; shallow ones may be fully-jacketed.

There is a sealed air space left between the outside of the kettle, and the jacket, into which steam is pumped, which does even heating and cooking of the food in the kettle. Steam, though, never touches the food.

On top, there is a hinged lid.

There is a faucet at the bottom to allow liquid to come out of its spout. Some Steam-Jacketed Kettles can also be tilted, and have a spout on them for this.

They will all have safety valves to let off excess steam pressure.

Tilt ones can hold up to 80 gallons, stationary ones from 10 to 150 gallons. Small ones, 12 gallons or less, can be mounted on tables or counters.

Deeper ones are used for dishes such as beans, gravies, lentils, sauces, soups, pasta, puddings, and pie fillings, and can be used to make large quantities of scrambled eggs.

Shallow ones are used for moist cooking of meat, and stews.

Full-training in their use for safety and maximum effectiveness is required. They require special cleaning procedures as well.

It is best to use distilled water as the water for the steam source, as tap water can cause mineral deposits on the heating coils, lowering their effectiveness.
